Regional Fundraiser (Home or office-based)


National Star, the charity that helps young people with complex disabilities achieve their aspirations, is looking for a proactive regional fundraiser to join its growing team.

To be as flexible as possible the role can be home-based or based at National Star, Ullenwood. As Regional Fundraiser you’ll be the enthusiastic face of National Star in the communities of Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, south Wales and beyond, developing and building strong, long-term fundraising relationships as you establish a wide range of supporter groups.

It goes without saying that you’ll promote with all our fundraising activities including gifts in wills, National Star lottery, corporate fundraising and National Star shops and inspire community groups to fundraise to help our charity support young people with complex disabilities. The role is currently being advertised as a full-time post but part-time would be considered at a minimum of 25 hours per week.

Care & Education Facilitator (Term-time)


National Star at Hereford are looking for a person centred, dynamic and proactive Care & Education Facilitator to support students with physical and learning disabilities at our college in Harrow Road, Hereford.

The role is a term-time only position, 39 weeks a year, 41 hours weekly. As a Facilitator you will provide high standards of support for our learners with their personal care, therapy, social and educational activities. You will be motivated and able to use your own initiative.  We expect very high standards so we provide excellent support and training to enable you to meet these. Enthusiasm, professionalism and a strong work ethic is essential, as well as being able to demonstrate a positive attitude towards the aspirations of young people with disabilities.  Experience of working with people with learning and/or physical disabilities and a level 2 qualification in care or learning support is desirable, however applications will be welcomed from people with no previous experience who can demonstrate the potential to develop in the role.
